Feb. 2014: New Class Schedule, & discount passes to Lotus Yoga!

This winter has been an exciting time for my yoga practice.  I’ve loved deepening my relationships with my long-time students and getting to know new students and new classes.  The focus, commitment, and playfulness everyone brought to the New Year’s Day practice made it a fabulous way to start 2014.  And as I’ve gone through health challenges that have stressed both my body and spirits this winter, I’ve felt incredibly grateful to have a yoga practice that creates space for acceptance, breath, and relaxing into challenge.  And I feel doubly blessed that I get to share these practices with my students.So I am very excited to share news about new classes I’ll be teaching in the very near future!

Mt Baker Community Yoga
Our last Wednesday evening class will be tonight — Feb. 12, 7-8:15pm.  Next week there won’t be any class.

Starting the last week of February, the Mt Baker Community Yoga classes will switch to Monday evenings, 6-7:15 pm.  I’ll continue to loosely organize my teaching into 6-week long themes.  The focus for the next six weeks will be heart, chest, and upper back movement.  I look forward to some more deep breath exploration as well as back-bends and related shoulder exploration.  The next series will run Monday Feb. 24 – March 31.  The six class series is $60, drop-in price is $12-15 sliding scale.  Register for the series now!

Yoga Fridays, early morning!
Come join the wonderful community of early-morning yogis in Mt. Baker each Friday morning, 6:15-7:15 am!  This class is run by the South Side Booty Camp (open to everyone!).  For information on signing up and prices, go here.

Classes at Lotus Yoga in Columbia City
I am honored to be joining the teachers at Lotus Yoga in Columbia City.  I’ve loved Lotus ever since I moved to Seattle because the teachers bring together all the things I love about yoga — community building, an environment that is welcoming to all kinds of yoga seekers, deep knowledge of anatomy and body movement, and commitment to a full body/mind/spirit yoga practice.  I’ll be teaching All Levels classes at Lotus on Wednesday evenings, 4:30-5:45 pm and 7:30-8:45 pm, and likely a more gentle class on Thursday mornings.  I hope you’ll come explore this beautiful yoga studio with me!  I have discount passes for new students – $40 for 5 classes – so please let me know if you’d like one.
