Finding Balance: Community Yoga Starts Again Monday (9/14)

The next Community Yoga series in Mt Baker starts this coming Monday, Sept. 14!

In this series we will focus on balance. Each week we’ll explore a different balancing pose or set of poses, while also investigating yoga’s tools for mind, breath, and emotional balance. This is an all-levels class, so there is no expectation that you can already do any complicated poses!       Just bring your whole self to class – the parts of you that are already balanced and centered, and any parts of you that might be trying to hold up too many things at once.

Class is at the Mt. Baker Community Club, Monday evenings 6-7:15 pm. Cost is $60 for the series (six classes, 9/14 – 10/19) for those who pre-register here.  Drop-ins always welcome, with a suggested price of $12-15.

I call this a “Community Yoga” class because I strive to make it as welcoming to all people as possible – we welcome people of all sizes, ages, abilities and disabilities, all genders and sexualities, tight hamstrings or super stretchy bodies, light or heavy-hearted, and regardless of ability to pay.  If there is anything I can do to make the class better meet your needs, please let me know.

PS – In support and appreciation for all of Seattle public school teachers, yoga classes are FREE to striking teachers.
